Addition Of Tens And Ones
Addition of two digit numbers involves the addition of tens digit of one number with the tens digit of other number and also the addition of ones digit of one number with the ones digit of the other number.
We can add tens to another tens number by using regrouping. To add tens, add the tens digit and put a zero at ones place.
Let us consider case of following addition
Add 5 tens and 6 ones to 2 tens and 3 ones.as shown in the figure below
Here we will add tens digit of one number with the tens digit of other number, that is we will add 5 and 2 we will get 7.
Also we will add ones digit of one number with the ones digit of the other number, that is we will add 6 and 3 we will get 9.
The result will be
